After analyzing all this information I've come to the conclusion that they didn't. Over the years there have been changes and what was seen correct at the time is totally outdated today.
ResponderBorrarI don't think so. Because in the past teachers taught the class in an ordinary and simple way did not encourage such activities. Today in different countries schools are practicing this type of tool, taking advantage of it by giving the student a better understanding of the subject. Thanks to this the student can make their thoughts known to others and encourages the participation of their peers.
ResponderBorrarat all! during many years I have seen many teachers use the board in differents ways, and until this moment I used to think that they were using it correctly.Nowadays, after seeing this information, I realized that they were not using it in propper manner. They used to write chunks of information without an specific order. Now I know they should had use the H Model.

Some of them did not follow a specific structure or organization at the moment to write in it. Also, they just used it to write notes, sentences without any order, and others practically never cleaned the board at the end of the class.

I thought that it was just for writing and that’s it but now I understand how to use it in a correct way, definitely I would use it because almost if it is not all the classroom have one, so this will be an easy tool to have access to.

ResponderBorrarI do think that teachers from the past were very competent in using the board because in that times it was the main material for teaching that they had. So, they needed to use it for a varity of activities and they use it to explain different subjects effectively.

ResponderBorrarI consider that some of my teachers didn't use the board appropriately because they wrote as they wanted. With the information provided I realized how teachers can use the H model to organize their lessons.
ResponderBorrarNon of my past teachers used the board correctly with the PPP method or the H model, they just wrote without planification, but I think that this happened because it is not easy get aware of this information, especially teachers that came from the old school, personally I always thought that they were using the board well before knowing this!!

As a student I thought that it was just to write the lessons, tasks or notes randomly. Now I know that as a future teacher it is my responsibility to organize my lessons following the H model and to take advantage of the space provided in the board.
ResponderBorrarWhen I was on primary school some teachers used the H model but without draws. With this information I realized that is not necessary teachers draw so perfectly, instead you can keep drawing things with sticks haha and now I realized that those drawings already have a name "figure stick drawings". So if I had known this in the past, I would not have been ashamed of my drawings!

Most of them turned their backs when they wrote and others stuck every part of the board with information. But, now thanks to this information I already know how to apply all the correct strategies to avoid my students got confused and distracted during the lesson time.

ResponderBorrarI think that maybe most of the teachers did not know how to use the board correctly. Maybe there were some teachers who did know how to use the board correctly. There is a habit that teachers do not stop doing and is leaving the board scratched. Teachers should clean the board when they finish their class. I also consider that there are currently teachers who do not know how to use the board correctly. I think that the teachers of the past definitely had no idea how to use the smart board. Currently the smart board is very expensive so few teachers have access to this great tool.

ResponderBorrarThroughout all my short educational life I'd say that I encountered different teachers and so their way of using the different types of boards. The most popular was the Chalk Board in which most of the teachers used to write chunks of information about different topics. However, there were others that applied successfully what I know nowdays after reading this blog as ''Guidelines''.

ResponderBorrarWell, I could not even understand some of my teachers´ handwriting. Some others would give us the back when writing on the board, and some other would use their hands for erasing.

Believe or not too many teachers do not know how to use a board in the correct way how divide the space and how make the lesson clearly in the board...and the most of the time when they do not know how to use the board well their students feel lost ...so all the information that is in this blog is important to learn as a teacher and won´t make mistake in the future .
ResponderBorrarIn my opinion, yes! they used properly. I remember a teacher who used the board with showing his back as you mentioned in the presentation. They also dived the activities and theory in their on old style.
